We enjoyed a lovely Memorial Day at the homes (yes, there were so many of us we were spread out between 2 properties!) of friends down near Table Rock Lake.
Just like any good Memorial Day Celebration, there was lots of yummy food,
lots great fellowship,
and even a few roly-polys to hunt: The kids had a blast running loose between the 2 houses:
The day was overcast, but the lake was still beautiful. This is a view from the deck of one of the homes:
This is a different view from the same (very high) deck:
Thank you to the McKeemans and Miss Vicky for hosting a very nice picnic!
The season for goofing off is in full swing around here. The school year is a distant memory and next year's studies too far away to think much about. Ahh, free time, we have been soaking it up! Since we don't ever seem to have enough kids around here, we are going to have another. Our estimated due date is Christmas Day. Maybe after the new baby is born I will finally have something to do. Ha!
We have been very very busy! We have been on walks that turn into treasure hunts: ...and often our treasure hunts turn into play-at-the-park time: We have been attending to many science experiments, including growing a mold garden: Daddy helped the kids dissect a rainbow trout: We grew our very own stalactite: And of course, we've been enjoying the baby: We hope you have been enjoying a very busy spring, too!
I am a born-again Christian; a student of my Lord and Master Jesus Christ! I have been married for 11 years to my best friend on this earth, my husband Mark. We have 3 children. Our daughter Maya is 11, our son Mark Jr. is 8, and our youngest, a girl named Selah, is one!
